People. Faces, clothes and accessories, photographed in Bangalore. Shot with a Canon EOS 600D.
These make me think of NatGeo pictures of everyday life. Forgive me if I seem rude, but for some, pictures like these seem like an exhibit of other cultures and how people live, without really connecting. Yours are everyday pictures of life elsewhere without making your subjects a case study for students in Western cultures.
I guess I just want to say how awesome these are.
Thank you so much.
Part of that might be because I see these people every day. Even though I grew up outside of India, over the last two years here, I feel less like an outsider regarding them. In my earlier photographs, I think I tended to exoticize them a lot more.
Now, they’re just people to me. In the best way.
